Lowell High School
Doors will not open for the chorus concert until 2:30 PM. Chorus parents are asked to arrive after 2:15 PM to give theband and orchestra students time to leave the auditorium. We ask all teachers to remind their chaperones and parents that students are to be picked up promptly at 7:30 PM at the Main entrance of the Kouloheras building on Father Morissette
drive. This should be the meeting place for all groups of students after Friday's rehearsal and after the concert on Saturday.
Festival Eligibility
- Auditions are open to students in grades 7 through 9. Boys in grade 6 may audition for Boys Chorus.
- Students may audition for one group only.
- If a percussionist wishes to audition on more than one instrument, each instrument must be designated, and a separate fee paid for each audition.
- Students must be members of their school music performance group if one is available.
Limits
- 3 female vocalists per voice part (3 Soprano I, 3 Soprano II, and 3 Alto) per school.
- 5 students per school on: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet and snare drum.
- No other limits for any instrument or voice.
Registration Procedures
- Audition Registration: November 13th December 18th, 2009 - $10.00 per student
- Late Registration: December 19th January 8th, 2010 - $30.00 per student
- Once late registration begins; previously entered students may not be altered or deleted.
- Students entered during late registration may be altered through January 8th.
- All Students will be listed on the Principal Form and the price will reflect when they were registered.
- Principal Forms are available at all times for your viewing and printing.
- Any student who misses all registration deadlines may audition on a first come first serve basis on the Audition Day. The fee for this audition is $50.00 per audition, payable by cash or check on the day of the audition. This includes any student who is registered for the wrong instrument or voice part. Check your lists carefully.

Additional Information
A school representative, who must be present at all times, has to accompany students to the auditions. This person should arrive with the REGISTRATION FORM and CHECK FOR AUDITION FEES in hand. No photocopies of music are allowed. Due to the increase in the number of students auditioning, and the scheduling challenge this presents, we cannot guarantee preferred audition times. The vocal recordings are available to download from this website only.
