Workshop 2: A Day of Music Technology

Participants will learn how to:
Part 2: Creating Memorable Musical Experiences that Happen to Use Technology
Participants will be guided through 10 different interactive units which incorporate music technology. Special focus will be centered on Noteflight’s new video syncing feature and the the Young Composers and Improvisers Workshop curriculum. Additional units include engaging Garageband/MixCraft/Soundtrap projects for all levels.
Anthony Beatrice is the leader of the Pentucket Music Conservatory, a Massachusetts Innovation School comprised of students in grades 7-12 in the Pentucket Regional School District. Anthony teaches concert band, music composition for film/video games, percussion ensemble, brass ensemble, concert band, public speaking and online career pathway courses in music business, therapy, education, and recording. Anthony received both his bachelors and masters degrees in music education from UMass Lowell where he now serves as an adjunct professor in the music education area. - create tutorial videos using the Screencastify Chrome extension (great for Recorder Karate, ukulele or teaching composition)
- create and manage a Google Classroom
- instruct students how to upload playing assessments via the Google Drive app
- create a YouTube channel with playlists for online listening opportunities
- design a free Weebly website for your music department
- organize a quality Google Hangout for your students
